We know how important great produce is to you: That’s the “snap” of the green beans, the "ahhh!" of really fresh basil, and peach juice making a run for it down your chin.

For nearly 30 years Terry has been growing this department’s reputation for consistently fine produce. He does it by being a tough customer himself. Terry shops most of the major suppliers for quality first. Unlike most stores, we don’t rely on one primary supplier for most of our needs. Terry says that would be a lot easier, but it would also make it easier to settle for second best when there is better out there.

But having great fruits and vegetables is just the start! We enjoy a great reputation for both our soup and salad bars. And we make great fresh salsa as well as a terrific guacamole (It’s not a bad idea to call ahead and reserve either one if you are really counting on it – some days we are amazed at how fast it goes!).
